Jeff Perlman

Jeff is a Level II Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor with a background in holistic health that enriches his teaching. He has studied directly with the Iyengar family in India and completed the rigorous teacher-training program at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of Los Angeles. Jeff integrates his deep knowledge of yoga with a passion for holistic well-being and is certified as an IAYT and Ayuryoga Therapist, Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, and Nutritional Chef. Jeff brings insights from these modalities to create well-rounded, accessible classes for everyone.

Juli McGene

After enjoying the benefits of a regular yoga practice for several years, Juli eventually decided to cultivate a teaching practice in 2008. She trained in Yin yoga practice and instruction with Denise Kaufman, Machelle Lee, and Sarah Powers with a focus on bone structure and anatomy as well as the Five Element Theory’s attention to the body’s meridian system. Juli enjoys practicing and sharing both the passive/receptive Yin and the Yang-focused strengthening vinyasa/flow modalities, and trained in Prana Vinyasa with Shiva Rea in the Samudra Global School of Living Yoga.

Julian Walker

Julian Walker is a pioneer in the field who has been teaching yoga since 1994. He trained originally with Ana Forrest, and has since continued to evolve his approach by integrating Buddhist mindfulness, somatic psychology and a science-informed approach to a healing, grounded sense of mind-body practice. His work is diverse, and in addition to his 3 popular weekly yoga classes, Julian is delighted to present each year at the UCLA Interpersonal Neurobiology conference, take participants away on his signature Transformation Retreat twice a year, offer his twice weekly Dance Tribe experiences at the Church in Ocean Park, and run his daily Open Sky Bodywork private practice out of his home office. Kyle Chavarria

Kyle is a Los Angeles native who began her yoga practice after years of competitive soccer. Drawn to the softness within strength that yoga revealed, she soon traveled to Nicaragua to deepen her understanding of the practice, ultimately completing her teacher training there.

Kyle teaches a dynamic and creative vinyasa flow that weaves together hatha foundations, taoist philosophy, and intentional breathwork. Her classes balance energizing movement with grounding stillness, encouraging students to explore strength with ease, and effort with grace.

Known for her supportive and uplifting presence, Kyle creates a space where her students can move with awareness and connect more deeply to themselves.

Laura Gideon

Laura Gideon M.S., CPT is a Corrective Exercise Therapist and Pilates Practitioner. She has been involved in the fitness/health/wellness industry for the past 34 years. Laura is an IM=X Pilates Instructor and N.A.S.M certified personal trainer. Her “MELT” inspired Roll, Release & Mobilize classes are geared toward self-treatment to help eliminate pain and feel fantastic, and are a great adjunct to any Pilates or yoga class. Matt Roth

In his personal practice, Matt draws on his training in hatha yoga, trauma-informed yoga, Thai yoga massage, and Taoist energy practice (Qi Gong) to heal and tone the body, release tension, and calm the mind. In his teaching, he employs all these elements to explain the mechanics of poses and to craft sequences and classes to help people move more easily through their lives and to feel a little better every day.

Michaela Reis

Michaela was introduced to yoga more than 10 years ago when she took her first Iyengar yoga class at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Los Angeles in 2005. Soon after, she became a committed student of Marla Apt and Lisa Walford. Michaela graduated from the 3-year Iyengar Yoga Institute of Los Angeles ‘Teacher in Training’ program in 2016 and became a Certified Iyengar teacher in October the same year.

Being a mom of three, and experiencing a daily amount of chaos herself, Michaela likes to help her students finding inner strength and calmness by guiding them step by step through the asanas.

Rachelle Luczynski

Rachelle is honored to be a therapeutics, prenatal and postnatal yoga instructor. She is also a birth and postpartum doula. Her goal is to empower and educate women and families about the expansive, amazing journey of pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

In her teaching, Rachelle draws on years of experience and study to support women’s health – mentally, emotionally, and physically. Her classes seek to create community while preparing women for birth by spending time in the poses used during labor, with breath. The yoga breath and alignment are also a great support for holding a baby and being centered in a mother’s wisdom. Rachelle teaches private lessons and public classes and workshops in Los Angeles.

 
 

Riayn Shumacher

Riayn Shumacher teaches an energetic class, using her eclectic background to creatively engage students. She emphasizes conscious breathing to inspire, enhance and support the student's focus and attitude, while encouraging physical expression and exploration. Riayn is a certified yoga instructor and has training in and experience with various styles of yoga including hatha, Iyengar, kundalini and Anusara.

Sharon Holly

Sharon Holly began her yoga career as a Certified Yoga Teacher for Kids and after her experience with breast cancer, she furthered her studies to become a Certified Yoga Therapist, Oncology Yoga Specialist, TRE® (Trauma/Tension Release Exercises) Provider, Resilience Toolkit Facilitator, and holds certifications in Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing.


Her classes focus on the ancient practices of therapeutic yoga, combining movement with breath, tuning into sensations and being kind and gentle to oneself. She encourages her students to listen to their body and stay within their own comfort zone. Sharon offers variations throughout the practice, so that students have options to progress to stronger postures if desired with the overall goal of regulating the nervous system. Emphasis is placed on yogic principles of taking what is learned in class out into the world, creating a more peaceful, easeful way of life.


Sharon is passionate about teaching fellow surviving thrivers as well as anyone who might be dealing with chronic pain, various illnesses/ailments, physical injuries and/or emotional disorders. She graduated from the Loyola Marymount University Yoga Therapy Rx program where she learned the importance of blending eastern and western healing modalities, thereby empowering individuals in their own ability to transform and heal. She has worked at physical therapy offices, psychological treatment centers, and currently teaches free classes through several cancer support organizations as well as leading free retreats for women going through cancer. Dr. Stacy Barrows, is a Physical Therapist, Feldenkrais® Practitioner and PMA Pilates Instructor. Stacy owns Smart Somatic Solutions, Inc., an independent clinic serving West Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and surrounding communities. She specializes in movement re-education, Pilates and integrative rehab, conditioning and sports training. She is the creator of the Smartroller®, and sister products, LINKS and SITS. She also authored "The Smartroller Guide to Optimal Movement", second edition, based on the Feldenkrais Method®.

Stacy TenHouten

Stacy TenHouten is a trauma-informed yoga teacher, artist, and facilitator with over 30 years of experience in the healing arts. Her work integrates somatic practice, depth psychology, and creative expression to support healing, resilience, and meaningful connection to the body.

Stacy teaches with the intention of offering practical tools to help navigate stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She works intuitively with individuals and groups to cultivate sustainable yoga practices that can be integrated into daily life as a source of physical health, emotional regulation, and trauma recovery.

She received her teaching certification through Santa Monica Yoga and completed Trauma-Informed Yoga certification under the mentorship of Kyra Haglund and Hala Khouri. Stacy has developed programs in addiction recovery, post-incarceration reentry, and sexual trauma healing, and has worked extensively with underserved youth throughout Los Angeles, earning the Teacher of Hope Award from the City of Los Angeles in 2012.

Stacy facilitates embodied dream work groups internationally and serves as a facilitator within This Jungian Life’s Dream School Dream Studio programs. She also contributes as a facilitator for Lisa Marchiano’s Spinning Straw fairy tale series, guiding participants in accessing healing wisdom through movement, imagination, and symbol.

 
 

Steve Jones

Steve Jones has been dedicated to the study of yoga for over 12 years, starting with a silent meditation retreat in a Buddhist temple in Northern Thailand. He teaches a physically demanding class, while encouraging you to be gentle and stay connected to your breath. His hope is that when you leave, you feel calmer, stronger and healthier than when you walked in.

Xu Darocha

Artist turned healer, Xu first started practicing Qi Gong when she was an early teenager. Over the past 15 years, she has dived even deeper into meditation and various healing modalities. Her deep understanding and intuition about body, mind, and spirit make Qi Gong a living knowledge in her being. As a certified Chi Nei Tsang practitioner, Xu teaches Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and meditation, as well as works as a somatic healer offering private healing sessions alongside her visual art practices. Her classes are fun, uplifting, and healing for everyone.
