In this two-hour workshop we will explore movement as dance, as gesture, as improvisation, as prayer. Exploring grief through the body resists the imperative to “move forward,” and instead brings us into the world as sensuous embodied beings. Movement can help us tap into our innate ability to heal the stories our bodies hold. We will begin with guided movement meditation and gentle stretching and transition into a full body exploration of grief. Whether you are mourning the loss of a loved one, grieving an ambiguous loss, or feeling the enormity of collective grief, we will honor all of our losses through expressive movement. This workshop is inclusive and accessible for all.
